All courses include personal use of a sewing machine, COVID regulated working space and a mannequin.
We also have a large library of designs in EU sizes 36 - 44 for use in and outside of class included in the class price.
Our studio also includes:
- Three-thread overlocker, Four-thread overlocker, Iron press and tailoring hams Small equipment for rented use (Paper scissors, threads, measuring tapes, rulers)
In this 12 week pattern-making course, we're teaching you how to pattern-cut a made-to-measure basic block for a skirt, top/blouse, and trouser.

With each clothing type, you will learn how to:
- Create patterns from your own measurements
- Learn how to alter patterns for a variety of styles (flares, gathers, pleats & fastenings)
- Learn pattern-cutting etiquette, symbology and terminology to tackle any pattern independently
At the end you will have the basic knowledge to begin pattern construction for a wide range of garments using personal measurements. You will also have the tools to alter ready-made patterns to your measurements and preferred style. Giving you a great freedom of personal choice and creativity.
You can choose to progress your skills by using this course as part of your portfolio for higher education, or by joining one of our sewing courses & workshops
All bookings include entry to our Sunday Open Studio day. Work on your own projects, or spend some extra independent time expanding or revising your TNSS work at our studio. With the supervision and technical assistance of a teacher.
