PRICE: TBC
TEACHER: VIIVI

MATERIALS NOT INCLUDED

All courses include personal use of a sewing machine, COVID regulated working space and a mannequin.

We also have a large library of designs in EU sizes 36 - 44 for use in and outside of class included in the class price.

Our studio also includes:
- Three-thread overlocker
- Four-thread overlocker
- Iron press and tailoring hams
- Small equipment for rented use
(Paper scissors, threads, measuring tapes, rulers)

You can come in with a ready idea of your own or with an empty canvas and get help in designing your costume from scratch.

The course includes the completion of the following projects:
- A self-designed Halloween costume

You'll be taken from the design process and finding materials to construction and even designing hair and make up! At the end of the course you’ll have learned how the whole process of designing and executing a costume works and will have the confidence to tackle any theme that comes your way.

On the first meeting we’ll go through the designs and ideas together and see what needs to be bought and done to create the costumes. Then in the next session we will do a shopping spree and you will be taken to the best thrift stores and places to find all that is needed in order to create the costume. The last two sessions are longer sessions in which you have the chance to use the sewing studio and bring the costume together. Viivi will help with the sewing and, if needed, teach you how to use the machines.

Please take into consideration that you’ll be the one sewing the costume so the design should be doable in the given time frame and skillset.

If you already have your designs and materials ready you can also just come join the sewing workshops and use the space and help available at the studio.
